Daragh McDaid receiving his award from Chairman Michael Clarke, in recognition of his years of service as a volunteer for Athletics. Irish Blind Sports members recently gathered to kick off the festive season in Temple Bar Hotel. Members celebrated the year’s achievements for blind and visually impaired sports participants with directors and staff members. During the evening, an award was given to Daragh McDaid in recognition of his years of service as a volunteer for Athletics. Rahim Nazarali has now taken over this position and we wish him good luck in 2009! A good time was had by all and even Oscar, Bethan Collins’ pooch and Velvet, Sister Brid Smith’s doggy had a jolly old time!
