Irish Chess Championship

August 2009

The 13th Chess Championship for the visually impaired will take place over the first weekend in October with the following arrangements:

Venue : National League of the Blind, 21 Hill Street, Dublin

Dates: Friday 2nd October to Sunday 4th October, 2009

Tournament: five rounds in the Swiss system
Rate of play: all moves in 2 hours
Times of games: Friday: round 1 @ 6.30 pm
Saturday : round 2 @ 10am, round 3 @ 3pm
Sunday : round 4 @ 10am round 5 @ 3pm
Controller: Tim Conlan will be in charge of proceedings

Refreshments: tea coffee and sandwiches will be provided throughout the weekend but not on Friday evening.

Closing date for entries: Friday 25 September
