Click here to return to News and Events. Message From the PresidentFebruary 2009Dear Irish Blind Sports friends, What better way to ensure our good health than to participate in a sport? Participation in a sport is the best way to enjoy some exercise while enjoying the companionship of others. This is of even greater significance to blind and visually impaired people across Ireland. Current budget restraints in all sectors of the economy mean that charities are the first to suffer and I would like once more to seek your generosity in helping Irish Blind Sports in their hour of need. Our mission, to enable and encourage more blind and visually impaired people in Ireland to take part in a wide range of sporting activities, from Bowling to Cycling, Swimming to Walking and many more, can only be accomplished with the help of your donations. It is a constant struggle to match our ambitious objectives with the funding required to deliver our services and consequently we are seeking your much-needed support. Believe me, any donation whatsoever, is most welcome and will be appreciated greatly. Diane, at 01 2020118 or diane@ibsports.ie will be only too happy to provide any further details required. Best regards,
President Fred Cogley, Paralympians Michael Delaney and Jason Smyth and Reporting Journalist Colm Murray |
