Jason won two gold medals in the Beijing Paralympics in 2008, including the 100 metres in a record 10.62 seconds - beating his previous world record. He currently holds the world records in the 100m and 200m sprints.
Jason is also a regular competitor in sighted competitions and will be participating in the 20th European Athletics Championships in Barcelona that will be held from July 26th to August 1st 2010. http://www.bcn2010.org/Home
He is aiming to compete at the Paralympic Games in London 2012, but Jason is such a talent that he is also considered a strong contender for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Irish Blind Sports is very proud to count Jason as one of its members and knows that he is a great role model for all its young visually impaired members. We wish Jason the best of success in all his endeavours.
