Irish Blind Golf Society, Results from Powerscourt G.C. 9 Hole Competition, June 26th, 2009
June 2009
Gorey shines.
Peter Gorey shone brilliantly on a sun drenched Powerscourt, posting 41 gross on the first nine of the East Course. A double bogey on the first hole was quickly negated by pars on each of the next three holes. A perfectly struck "utility" to six feet on the testing fifth, yielded a birdie two. Peter closed out the final four holes with four bogeys, to card his best result of the season. Paul O'Rahilly challenged for second, finishing one shot behind Peter.
Powerscourt is amongst Irelands leading parkland courses. It is a privilege to have been invited to play. Our thanks to Ian Corr for arranging this for our golf society.
