Irish Blind Golf Society, Results from Westmanstown G.C. 18 Hole Competition, May 18th, 2009

May 2009

Wally Roode must have been studying Shane Lowry's historic win at Baltray last weekend. Wally shot a blistering 42 points, dominating the field at a soggy Westmanstown. A back nine of ten over par gross, in spite of an ugly tripe bogey at the final hole, contributed to this tremendous score. Jimmy Murray was a full fourteen points back in second place, on 28 points.

Jimmy Murray is now in pole position in the overall standings for the 2009 order of merit. The order of merit is made up from the best three stableford scores over the year. Jimmy has now set the mid- season target at 97 points.

Irish Blind Golf Society wishes to thank our hosts for the day, especially to Brian Moran, Owen Kyne and John Fennelly for inviting us to Westmanstown G.C.
