Launch of Strategic Plan
Forward Vision 2009 - 2012

The official launch of our new Strategic Plan for the next few years took place on the 19th October in Buswells Hotel, Dublin. Minister for State in the Dept of the Taoiseach, Mr. Pat Carey TD, launched the plan for us and made reference to the importance of sports for visually impaired people. Chairman of Irish Blind Sports, Fintan O’Donnell, introduced the Minister and expre4ssed the hope that this plan would help to focus our efforts to increase opportunities for participation in recreational activity for visually impaired people throughout the country as well as in Dublin. He mentioned the challenges of changing circumstances and resources already putting pressure on some of the stated goals.
