Walking

July 2010

A regular group of walkers meet throughout the summer months for leisure walks in the Dublin area. These are evening walks and a schedule of dates is prepared and all interested in joining in are welcome to go along.

On Tuesday 13th July assemble at the Halfway House for a walk in the Phoenix Park at 7:00 p.m. A suburban train departs from Tara Station at 6:30 p.m. Ashtown Station is the nearest point to the Halfway House.

On Tuesday 20th July assemble at Clontarf DART Station at 7:15 p.m. for a walk along the seafront to Bull Island and down as far as the statue and back to the Yacht.

A walking weekend is being organised in October by Breege O’Neill.
The details are as follows
Venue: The 7 Oakes Hotel Carlow. All Guide dogs welcome
Date: Friday 1st October for 2 or 3 nights.
Price: 2 nights B&B and 1 dinnerEUR119 per person sharing.
3 nights B&B and 2 dinners EUR179 per person sharing.

Travelling arrangements:
Train from Heuston station, Dublin on Friday on the 13.20 train and return on Monday on the 14.15 train. If you are just coming for 2 nights there are plenty of trains or buses back on Sunday.

Deposit: A deposit of EUR100 per person, which will be paid off your room by me. This money should be with me by Friday 27 August.
