Windy Weather results in low scores around Corrstown Golf Club July 16th, 2010

Corrstown golf course, having benefited from recent mixed weather, was in immaculate condition. High winds for the IBGS outing kept scores lower than normal. New members Joe Lonergan and John O’Grady struggled to put points on the scoreboard. The more experienced Jimmy Murray and Wally Roode were blown away. Even local member Peter Gorey could not break 30 points despite his home advantage. Paul O’Rahilly aided by a lot of straight hitting, and some luck, assembled a respectable 36 points which was enough to win the day.

Our thanks to Peter for organising everything and to members of Corrstown Golf Club, one or two of whom teamed up with each group, helping us to keep up with play on a busy day at the course.

Scores, Players Name (Handicap): P. O’Rahilly (30) 36 points, P. Gorey (15) 29 points, W. Roode (25) 28 points, J. Murray (45) 21 points.
