Fishing Opportunity

A ‘Come and Try’ fishing session has been organised for Saturday 21st August at 2pm on the Royal Canal in Phibsboro, Dublin.

The fishing on this occasion will be coarse / pike fishing but other types of fishing can be considered for future outings (such as fly fishing, salmon fishing, sea angling etc) if the interest is strong enough.

Assistance and guidance will be available, including from Pearse Bolger - who is a keen blind fisherman and angler of many years - who has competed successfully throughout Europe in fishing events. It is hoped that we will have fishing rods and other equipment for those who do not have their own to try out on the day also courtesy of Pearse and possibly the Fisheries Board.
