FAI Supporters Association for People with Disabilities

June 2010

The first meeting of this group followed a tour of the new AVIVA stadium recently.

An Interim Committee has been established as follows:
David Glynn – Chairperson
Dara Carroll – Vice Chairperson
Darren Connolly – Treasurer
Pauline O Shaughnessy – Secretary
Mark Barry
Sean Herlihy
Donal Byrne
A Another – Intellectual Disability Representative (To Be Appointed)
Oisin Jordan – FAI Support (Non Voting Member)
Keith Ferguson – CAFE Support (Non Voting Member)

They are seeking the advice of members from the various disability organisations on the following topics. Therefore if you have an opinion or something else to offer you can send your thoughts to info@ibsports.ie and I will forward them on to our representatives on the committee.

• Vision for the Association
• Objectives of the association
• Role of the association
• Ticket allocations
• Ticket Prices
• Assistance in stadium
• Issues around access to stadium
• Potential Membership
• Website
• Media/communications
• Name for the association
• Any other areas you feel need attention.

This committee hope to have a meeting with the FAI to progress this initiative in the next couple of weeks.
