IBS Bowlers 3rd in Blackpool 4 Nations
Saturday 28th January 2012
Three tenpin bowlers who are members of IBS travelled to Blackpool England on the weekend of 27th-29th January to participate in the British Blind Sports Tenpin 4 Nations Challenge.
Margaret Leacy, Catherine Leacy-Coniry, and Patrick Coniry competed against bowlers from England, Scotland and Wales. The competion consisted of scratch and handicap sections in the Singles and team events as well as a mystery doubles, where each player is partnered with another by random selection.
Our 3 players came in 3rd in the team scratch section, and 4th in the team handicap section.
Catherine Leacy-Coniry received a 2nd in the Ladies scratch section, only one point behind the 1st place winner.
Margaret Leacy received 3rd in the ladies scratch section
Margaret won a 1st place in the doubles scratch with her assigned partner Derek Bishop of Gloucester
Patrick Coniry received a 2nd place in the doubles handicap with his assigned partner Colin Durden of Gloucester
Catherine Leacy-Coniry received a 3nd place in the doubles handicap with her assigned partner Gerald Tween of Gloucester
