Thu 17 May 12CampAbilities - A Recipe for Happy ChildrenChef Nadine Latimore Cooks Up a Great Story on a great Week in KillarneyEaster mid term break from school brought a special treat for those involved with CampAbilities Ingredients Directions From Monday 2nd until 6th April the 3rd CampAbilities Ireland Camp was held in Killarney, Co.Kerry. The beautiful An Óige Youth Hostel of Fossa – an impressive 18th century mansion on 77 acres of beautiful gardens and forests was literally taken over by fun and laughter. Having been invited to speak about my life as an athlete heading towards the London Games qualifications, I was delighted to join in with the Athletics activity and give some top tips to our budding athletes. Across all of the sports sampled over the week, there were some outstanding performances, although more significantly a passion for sporting participation has been ignited. Alongside the friendships forged and memories made from a wonderful week at camp, of course the universal message that sport is accessible to all, no matter what level of vision or other disability. Fantastic camp – hope to see you all there next year!
